The reason why I love my puppy is because he knows everything about me. Think about they are with us at the most intimate times. They hear all our conversations and hear us cry, laugh, scream and yell. I love my puppy because he knows who the real me is and not the person I pretend to be.

When times are rough and things are not going well I look at my puppy and think of what they were born into. They come into this world with absolutely nothing. They do not know if they have a home, they do not know what they will eat, they do not know anything. Look at our lives now. How is it that we let the little things, the nagging and the nit picking get to us?  Live life like there is no tomorrow. The one thing that separates us from the animal kingdom is our minds, our ability to use logic and to know the difference between right and wrong. So look at your lives right now and see why you are where you are at in life. Are you stuck in a rut? Are you not being loved the way you should be? Bad Habits? Everything going on around you is because you allow it. Do not let other people and their hidden agendas dictate how you live your life. Now look at your puppy. He relies on you to do all things that you want done to yourself. He is loved the right way, he has a home, and knows where his bowl of food is. That is all we should want in life.

We all have flaws but when your clouded by infatuation you look past those flaws and don't realize this flaws might hurt you or that the other person your infatuated with doesn't love you they way you should.       When you first lay eyes on a puppy its like the first time you lay your eyes on your soul mate. You feel  warm and fuzzy inside. You think of how long the puppy will live and it's a short time before it turns into an adult. Some say the "PuppyHood" stage of a dog's life is comparable to the relationships we have with the ones we love. You go through so much the first year of a puppy. Dealing with peeing in the house, running away, barking too loud, stealing your food, begging, but at the end of the day when your tired and you lay down and you look at the face your puppy and it looks like the one above you have no choice to put all the pooping, chewing, and begging away and admire the innocence of a puppy.                                     -Dominic Massimo
